I know this probably won't work although they are assigned to different comport numbers. I never use the Bcd396T cable and FDTI driver and the PSR-600 cable and FDTI driver at the same time.

When FTDI drivers 2.08.02 were installed there were no errors during install. I knew it was on com port 6 from before so I started clicking through the tabs on win500, looking for info came across one that said com port 6 so I clicked ok. Refired up win500, hooked up cable, hit upload to scanner and got a new message.

I can't remove this device since I have to have this capability. This driver is for the FT232RUSB to Serial cable (CSI Part 17394 - Black Cable). I suspect that this is due to also having to use this computer for communication with a Bcd396T scanner using a different FDTI serial driver device. Note to Linux users: If you need to access the USB/Serial cable as a COM port under Wine, you can run the Win500COM.EXE executable. FTDI, the manufacturer of the chipset used in the GRE/RS programming cable, makes those drivers available here.
